Mechanical & Auxiliary Valves
Mechanical limit valves and pneumatic logic components for position-triggered switching, quick exhaust, one-way control and vacuum generation.
Mechanical & Auxiliary Valves
Selection overview.
Mechanical directional valves and auxiliary pneumatic components serve different circuit tasks. Roller and plunger valves respond to machine movement; quick-exhaust, check and shuttle valves change the air path without a solenoid. CV vacuum generators serve suction circuits. Select the required function before comparing ports, operator travel and mounting space.
Confirm the product-specific operating limits and dimensions for the selected series before use.

Series and configurations.
Use the series as a starting point. Provide the complete size and configuration in your requirement brief.
QE Series
Quick-exhaust valves that discharge air locally near the actuator.
MV / MOV Series
Mechanical limit valves with roller, plunger and other actuator choices.
VM Series
Compact mechanical valves with model-dependent inlet and mounting arrangements.
Compare the series.
Review the construction, function and interfaces before narrowing the model.

that affect fit and function.
Identify the circuit function
Separate directional switching from local exhaust, one-way flow, shuttle logic and vacuum generation. These components perform different tasks.
Check mechanical travel
For mechanical operators, provide approach direction, available travel, switching point and mounting space. Confirm permissible travel for the selected valve before setting a machine stop.
Plan the exhaust path
For QE quick-exhaust valves, define cylinder connection, supply line and exhaust arrangement. Check required flow and the effect of exhaust fittings on the complete circuit.
Define vacuum conditions
Include supply pressure, target vacuum, suction flow, cup volume, leakage and cycle time. Nozzle size alone does not determine whether a porous workpiece can be held.
Compare the actual interface
Check full model, symbol, thread, inlet orientation and mounting. Bottom/side inlet and panel-mounting variations must match the installation.
Include in your requirement
- Circuit function
- Mechanical actuator type
- Port size and thread
- Pressure and flow requirement
- Mounting space
- Vacuum or exhaust duty
Match the mechanical actuator travel and mounting position to the machine. Vacuum selection also requires suction flow and workpiece porosity information.
Questions about mechanical & auxiliary valves.
How do QE, KA and ST differ?
QE exhausts actuator air locally. KA permits one-way flow. ST provides shuttle or pneumatic OR logic between two inputs and an outlet. Choose the function before matching the port.
How should I choose roller or plunger actuation?
Provide approach direction, contact geometry, available travel, switching point and cycling conditions. Check operator travel and mounting drawing before installation.
Can I choose CV from ultimate vacuum alone?
Suction flow and air consumption also matter, especially for leaking or porous workpieces. Provide supply pressure, cup arrangement, workpiece and cycle for operating-point selection.
Are these direct replacements for another brand?
Compare complete model, symbol, ports, mounting dimensions and operator travel. A similar series name or appearance does not establish interchangeability.
What helps identify a mechanical valve?
Include label, photographs of ports/operator, symbol, thread dimensions, pressure and mounting measurements. Describe the moving part and available travel for a limit valve.
