A/B Series FRL Units

A/B platform filters, regulators, lubricators and combination units for general pneumatic circuits. Compare the body size and connection layout with the installation.

A/B Series FRL Units
Selection overview.

A/B air preparation covers compact A-body and larger B-body filters, regulators and lubricators. Select individual functions or a combination, then match the port, bowl capacity, drainage and mounting space to the machine.

Confirm the product-specific operating limits and dimensions for the selected series before use.

Specify the details
that affect fit and function.

Select the body format

Compare port size and bowl capacity for the individual model. The same nominal port can occur on both body formats, so check dimensions and service space.

Choose combined or separate functions

AFR/BFR integrates filtration and regulation. AFC/BFC adds lubrication to that unit, while AC/BC uses separate filter, regulator and lubricator components.

Specify condensate handling

State the drain required and confirm the option on the selected model. Include the operating cycle and maintenance access.

Define thread and pressure duty

The model tables identify G-thread ports. State any different thread requirement explicitly, together with inlet pressure, outlet setpoint, temperature and required flow.

Include in your requirement

  • Required air flow
  • Port size and thread
  • Inlet and regulated pressure
  • Filtration grade
  • Drain arrangement
  • Lubrication requirement
  • Available installation space

Select flow at the required working pressure and allowable pressure drop. Confirm drain type, bowl protection and mounting dimensions for the chosen model. Replacement dimensions and accessories require model-specific confirmation.

Questions about a/b series frl units.

How do the A and B bodies differ?

A variants use the smaller body and bowl arrangement; B variants use the larger arrangement. Compare the exact model rather than selecting only by pipe size.

Which components form AFC and AC assemblies?

AFC/BFC combines AFR/BFR and AL/BL. AC/BC combines AF/BF, AR/BR and AL/BL as separate components.

How should I specify the drain?

Provide the exact model and drain operation. Include whether the circuit stays pressurized continuously or is regularly depressurized, plus maintenance access.

Can G ports accept R or NPT fittings?

Specify the mating thread and sealing arrangement exactly. G, R and NPT are different thread forms and must not be assumed interchangeable.
