ACE Series Compact Pneumatic Cylinders

A compact cylinder platform with single-rod, single-acting, double-rod and adjustable-stroke arrangements. TACE and TACED add a non-rotating yoke and require their own front-interface and travel checks.

Choose the arrangement before using the stroke row: the yoke range does not inherit the longer common-cylinder strokes. Other special strokes require confirmation. The source specifies the next longer standard-stroke envelope for a non-standard stroke, for example 23 mm uses the 25 mm standard envelope.

Scroll the table horizontally to compare all columns.

Match the rod and mounting codes to one model.

An ordinary female- or male-threaded rod and a non-rotating yoke use different ordering fields and mounting choices. Specify the magnet, model-specific mounting and actual air-port thread before completing the selection.

Technical reference: AirTAC official 2020 catalog file, printed pp.108–115. This identifies a reference publication, not a confirmed current revision of the offered model. Catalog data and series photographs do not establish JEMWON manufacture, independent certification or cross-brand fit.

Check working force, mounting and guidance together.

Available pressure, load direction and travel determine the basic cylinder selection. Include the rod projection, yoke front face, accessory stack and full moving envelope when comparing a replacement or a new installation.

Acting and working direction
Specify double acting, ASE air-driven push or ATE air-driven pull. Provide pressure at the cylinder, load, orientation, travel time and required return behavior.
Yoke and side load
For TACE/TACED provide the applied lateral force, moment arm and anti-rotation requirement. Confirm the permitted load and moment for the offered assembly; a base-cylinder thrust value does not rate its guidance.
Mounting and accessories
Select mounting by model and bore, including any paired CB/CR, CA/SDB or FTC/TCM2 assembly. Verify the full installation drawing and keep side load off an ordinary piston rod.
Rod, magnet and sensor
Specify female or male rod only where the code provides it. Confirm magnet and sensor requirements; the source’s equal magnetic/non-magnetic envelope does not identify a supplied sensor or wiring arrangement.
Air and environment
Use filtered air and clear the pipework before connection. Check moisture, temperature and protection from contamination against the actual service conditions.

Double-acting values are for standard single-rod ACE; do not use them to rate ACED or TACED double-rod configurations. ASE push and ATE pull refer to different single-acting structures and their air-driven working direction; they are not two pneumatic directions of one single-acting cylinder or spring-return force ratings. Allow for friction and pressure loss. This table does not establish the yoke arrangement’s permitted moment or lateral load.

Specify one complete compact-cylinder assembly.

Include model, bore, acting type, stroke, adjustment if needed, magnet, rod or yoke interface, mounting, thread, load, pressure, sensor and quantity. For yoke models add lateral force and moment arm. For a replacement include the complete old code, current drawing and measured installation dimensions.

Prepare a requirement brief

The brief tool creates text on your device to copy or download. It does not send an online enquiry.

Does the ISO 21287 reference establish replacement fit?

The AirTAC catalog identifies ACE with ISO 21287. Confirm the actual supplied model, mounting pattern, rod thread, ports and complete installed envelope against the current drawing. The catalog statement does not establish cross-brand interchangeability or the fit of a yoke or accessory assembly.

Can TACE or TACED use the common-cylinder maximum stroke?

Use the separate non-rotating-with-yoke stroke rows. From 20 to 100 mm bore their listed maximum is 100 mm, while the common-cylinder range includes longer strokes. TACE/TACED are not listed at 125 mm bore.

Does a magnet change the cylinder dimensions?

The dimension remarks state that magnetic and non-magnetic dimensions are the same for these references. Still specify the magnet and confirm the actual sensor, mounting and wiring separately.

How should I choose a mounting accessory?

Use the model-specific ordering choices and the matching bore drawing. Confirm paired assemblies such as CR with CB, SDB with CA and FTC with TCM2. A TACE request with SDB needs specific confirmation because the ordering-code list and accessory matrix differ.
